ABOUT VINCENT GARLAND
After high school, I considered going to university, but I decided against it because I could see how it was affecting my friends' outlook on life. I worked at a variety of jobs, including as a chef in the kitchen, until one day when it was my day off, I sat down and drew something. That's when I realised how much I enjoy creating art.
Right now I work outdoors doing garden maintenance. I enjoy being outdoors with the sun, animals and trees. Working in nature has a positive impact on my mental health and overall well-being. I feel a sense of fulfilment seeing the progress of the gardens and knowing that I am contributing to the beauty of the environment.
I currently reside, eat, and work in Brisbane. By 2030, I want to own nothing and be happy. I'm kidding, of course! I want to relocate to the country so I can keep working, grow food, and go barefoot while munching on mangoes.
What would you say about your art?
I’m just warming up! :)
My art been my personal therapy for a few years, so I tend to keep my work private until I am ready to show it off.
What does your art say about you?
I suppose I'm trying to connect with you all. I'm attempting to "keep it real," so to speak. I'm trying to be sincere in order to uplift those who have been "shut down" and do not feel comfortable expressing themselves.
